One way in which we show our love and concern for others is by giving a handmade shawl to a person who is ill or facing difficulty. These are knit or crocheted by church members and are then blessed during a service. A card with prayers for healing is attached and the shawls are given to someone who is need of an “outward and visible sign of God’s love”. We welcome donations for yarn and encourage those who can to make a shawl. Instructions are available by contacting the church office at 540-456-6334.
